SIEMENS - Environment friendly
In the modern world subject to quick change are not only lifestyles,
but also consumer values. Quality, henceforth, determines not only
production and design, but also the whole philosophy of modern companies.
Beyond any doubt protection of natural resources and prevention of
environmental contamination plays an important role in increasing of living standards.
Siemens contributes to improvement of living standards by creating high
technology and home appliances that facilitate people`s lives, not overlooking
to mention about the social responsibility. Siemens is a leading scientific and
technological research company. Its new inventions are used in production for
creating better products and, accordingly, caring about environment.
Since 1975 Siemens supports Total Quality policy, which is carried out
in three stages. The first stage is the design of products with an opportunity
of recycling. At the second stage the analysis of production and its influence
on environment is carried out and minimal use of resources is calculated.
At last stage researches are made for the minimal possible consumption of water
and the electric power by home apliances. The best example is automatic dishwasher Hi-Sense.
Siemens does not use gases FCKW and FKW in production process, which harm
ozone layer. Maintenance instructions and even packing of devices is made out
of recycling paper. Waste products and the water, left as a manufacturing
byproduct, are also reused after taking laboratory results. Use of waste products
and the minimal consumption of natural resources is the powerful contribution to
preservation of the environment. For example, in Siemens washing machines waste
of detergent is automatically prevented, as the system does not wash off unused powder.
Company's philosophy is based on belief that business success is based on
acceptance of social responsibility. For this reason, administration of Siemens
uses each chance to participate and organize various social, cultural and educational enents.
